However, items on which large amounts of fragranced deodorant have been sprayed and absorbed may not be fully cleaned. Also, once cleaning removes the sweat odor, what remains is the natural smell of the materials themselves (leather, cotton, polyester). This material odor cannot be removed. In cases where the deer hair inside the kote head was insufficiently washed during manufacturing, an organic animal odor may emerge with use and cleaning.
