Q. Will cleaning cause color bleeding?

Cleaning may cause slight color bleeding, but it will not cause fading. However, depending on the number of years and frequency of use, the indigo dye can come off along with sweat, salt, and sebum, giving some pieces a faded appearance. In rare cases the color of the left and right kote may differ (due to differences in the number of strikes).
